CHAI Foundation is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. Through the dedication and expertise of its all-volunteer staff for the past eleven years, the Foundation has given at least 80 percent to 90 percent of its incoming tax-deductible donations to research.

It seems inconceivable that, after so many decades and the expenditure of so many billions of dollars, a cure or preventative for cancer still evades us. Data shows that the incidence of cancer in the United States has gone from a whisper a few decades ago to its current screaming statistic: According to the American Cancer Society's "Facts and figures 2002," a little less than 1 out of every 2 men, and a little more than 1 in every 3 women are at a lifetime risk for the disease!

Statistics such as these demonstrate that the situation is worse now than decades earlier. We all need to become involved in the conquest to defeat this disease.

The efforts of CHAI Foundation are based on the belief that there are “many roads to Rome”. In the fields of medicine and the healing arts, too often a popular theory becomes established as the only acceptable thinking of the day and leaves little room for those who might have a more unique or creative approach to a problem. CHAI Foundation was formed to give those brilliant, creative thinkers and researchers an opportunity to help humanity their way. At the current time, CHAI Foundation’s focus is cancer research.
